A little bit of this and that

I know it has been a long time since I have posted about the boys. They are doing well and are just adored beyond belief. It is so funny getting babies at this age because all of our other kids can totally enjoy them and play and laugh with them, whereas when a new baby is born, they can hold the baby and look at them, but they don't do much and aren't as "exciting".

Christmas morning at Grandma and Grandpa's house

The poor guys had to get blood drawn a couple of times (poked several times to find veins) and x-rays etc. Thursday we should find out results.
Their skin is so much smoother, however, they still both get large pimple or boil like things on their bodies. Many who have adopted from Ethiopia have mentioned that their dermatologists said that much of it will clear up with good nutrition and we have witnessed that. We are using only Arbonne lotions and good quality coconut oil all over them (head to toe) and I need to start cooking with it too. It is supposed to have great medicinal qualities. The big crusty pimple thing that was growing on Jeremiah's head is completely gone without using medicine- yay! They both still have major diaper issues so hopefully we will find out this week if we can start treating parasites or something.

Josiah used to be so attached to me - crying for me when I walked in the room or when he heard my voice, but now he even reaches for his daddy and Janae if he is with me (poor mommy is a little jealous - but it is a good thing). He also loves to play ball with Jordan (or should we say fetching Jordan's balls) and he sleeps in Jordan's bed for nap and with him at night. It is so sweet - he climbs in under the top bunk and gets to his side and waits for Jordan to climb in next to him. Dare I say he has pudge on his thighs! We are so happy about that - but his arms are still super skinny! He is loud, happy and wild. Although he doesn't look like his daddy, he acts a lot like him - he LOVES Dominican rice, beans and yucca and cries for Javi's coffee (once he found an almost empty coffee cup and drank the last drops out - actually kids/babies are given coffee in other cultures including Ethiopia - so it is possible he had it before). He also gives tons a kisses which is a big deal in our home/Javi's culture.
helping Daddy vacuum the van- doesn't he look a little more solid and chubby?

My beautiful boy

Jeremiah is now the one that crawls to me the minute he sees me and wants me which is a great sign for bonding. Before he was happy to be with anyone. He is still happy with anyone, but if I am around he wants me. He physically looks like Javi, so it is fun how they are each like their daddy in different ways. He is still just bouncy and a dream baby. Both sleep 11-12 hours at night!
Jeremiah was playing with the girls and then I found him in their room like this

These pictures in blue are from today - I think he is getting chubbier every day too

At home we try to do Bible time to worship, read and discuss the Bible as a family. We use this time to train the kids to sit quietly for church (which the boys have no concept of yet :)). Needless to say, our Bible times have been a little louder and crazier these days. The other night Janae was holding Jeremiah and I was sitting across from them with Josiah. They were squealing back and forth at each other and jabbering and just when we thought we had lost control, Jeremiah picks up Joanna's pink underwear from the laundry pile on the couch and starts swinging it over his head. We all lost it and just started laughing - I am not sure we are getting very far with our training :), but we are blessed to have them in our family.
