Day 2 - guest house

Of course I post most of the happy cute pictures, but the truth is that it was not all happy and wonderful. Josiah took much more time and patience to adjust. The poor guy often didn't want us and would hide or scream and flail around (of course he did that while waiting for our embassy appointment). Here he is hiding behind the chair trying to get away.

My Aunt Carol gave Janae this book when she was a baby. It has been a favorite for all our kids and he loves it too. It is a rhyming squeaky book - "Lucky Ladybug"

Janae genuinely loved them and was so excited to see them the whole trip.

Main guest house - kitchen, dining room, family room and a few rooms

The larger 2 bdrm cottages we stayed in.

Ester, our sweet coordinator while in Ethiopia.

Janae was in heaven with the puppies

Our chef, Muluneh cutting the Tiramisu

Sunday we were able to visit our boys again in the morning and afternoon which was great. Sunday was also the day our guest house (combined with the European guests from the other guest house) got together for a big outdoor bbq grill. Have I mentioned the food was amazing! These chefs trained and worked in France and cooked gourmet 3 course meals for every lunch and dinner. We had beautiful green salads, veggies on skewers, fish, chicken, and sausage, with cous cous and bread any drinks we wanted and Tiramisu and coffee for desert that day. What a feast! We adored the staff at the guest house - such kind serving people. The rooms were nice/modest w/hot water :) and the grounds were lush. They also had 2 large turtles and a baby, some dogs, bunnies and a playground.
